TranZact and DotOne: both built for Indian manufacturers
TranZact is a cloud-based software for Indian SME manufacturers, covering areas such as sales, purchase, inventory and production workflows. DotOne is also a cloud ERP aimed at Indian MSMEs and manufacturers, so the two are often compared.
Because both focus on a similar audience, the right choice depends on the details: how well each matches your industry’s process, how much of the business you want in one system, and the implementation and support model you prefer.
Where TranZact can be a good fit
- You want cloud software designed for Indian SME manufacturers.
- Your processes fit its standard workflows well.
- You want to move away from spreadsheets and registers towards a structured system.
- Its scope matches the areas you want to digitise first.
If a demo of your own process looks right, it deserves a place on your shortlist.
When an industry-specific ERP like DotOne fits better
- You want templates built around your sector, such as plywood, footwear or laminates.
- You want CRM, sales, purchase, inventory, manufacturing, quality, HR and finance in one system.
- You need process-wise scrap, job work and batch traceability matched to your stages.
- You want the option to keep accounts in Tally with synced vouchers.
- You want AI agents that highlight exceptions across departments.
- You need customisation for processes unique to your plant.
How to compare in practice
Industry fit
Ask each vendor to configure your units, stages and grades and run a real order through them.
Scope
List the departments you want in the system now and in three years, and check coverage for each.
Integrations
Check how each connects with Tally, e-invoicing, e-way bills and any machines or marketplaces you use.
Support and implementation
Understand who sets up the system, trains your team and handles changes after go-live.
Questions to ask before choosing
- Can you run our complete process, from enquiry to dispatch, with our own data?
- Which of our requirements are standard, and which need customisation?
- How do you handle job work, scrap and quality at each stage?
- Can accounts stay in Tally, or must they move?
- What is the total cost over three years, including implementation and support?
Our ERP buyer's guide and pricing guide help structure the comparison.
Switching from TranZact to DotOne
Masters such as items, customers, suppliers and BOMs, plus open orders and opening stock, can be exported and mapped into DotOne. We recommend a cut-off at a month end, a short parallel run and training by department.
Our implementation services page explains how we plan and run the switch.
Where DotOne fits
DotOne is built for Indian manufacturers who want an ERP that understands their industry and covers the whole business, from CRM to HR and finance. If TranZact fits your process well, it is a reasonable choice; if you want deeper industry templates and broader scope, evaluate DotOne alongside it.
